Ocracoke Express passenger ferry departures canceled for Friday
Due to mechanical issues, all Ocracoke Express passenger ferry departures for Friday, June 25, are canceled, per an update from the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division. Visitors can call 252-996-6000 for more information.
On Ocracoke Island, after several consecutive days of Ocracoke-to-mainland routes being intermittently canceled, all routes between Ocracoke, Cedar Island, and Swan Quarter are on schedule and running as of Friday morning.
The Ocracoke Express passenger ferry typically departs from the Hatteras village ferry terminal at 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and departs from the Ocracoke Silver Lake Terminal at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
