Power outage scheduled for Monday morning in Avon and the Tri-villages

Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperation (CHEC) will require a planned power outage in Avon and the Tri-villages on Monday, February 22, in order to perform maintenance work to the electrical system.

The power outage scheduled for Monday is as follows:

• Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Avon will experience a 5-minute outage at 7:30 a.m.

Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras village, and Ocracoke Island will be served by limited diesel generators during this work.
