Virginia men arrested in Frisco on drug and stolen property charges
On May 22 at approximately 2:50 a.m., Dare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies working the C-District came across a truck stuck in a ditch on N.C. Highway 12 near Osprey Way in Frisco, NC.
When the tag on the vehicle was run, the tag came back as stolen from Virginia Beach, VA. While the Deputies were trying to determine the owner and information for the truck through the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), drug paraphernalia was seen in plain view.
The vehicle was searched and an amount of Marijuana, Marijuana Paraphernalia, Drug Paraphernalia and Methamphetamine were located and seized.
Both Sterling Thomas Kessel, M/42 Virginia Beach, VA, and Richard Norman Smith II, M/41, Virginia Beach, VA, were arrested and charged with (M) Possession of Stolen Property, (M) Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, (F) Possession of Methamphetamine and (F) PWISD Methamphetamine.
Kessel was given a $40,000 secured bond and Smith was given a $52,000 secured bond.
Getting these two winners off the streets probably saved many people from having lots of property stolen. Now keep then in prison for 40 years.
