Local organization Coastal Humane Society and the Roanoke Island Animal Clinic are sponsoring a vaccination clinic at the Avon Fire Station on Wednesday, May 24, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Cats and dogs are both welcome. The cost for cats is $18 which includes rabies, distemper/parvo, and the FVRCP vaccine. The cost for dogs is $31, and includes vaccination for rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella, as well as free heartworm testing.
An appointment is not required to attend, and the Avon Fire Station is located at 40159 Harbor Rd.
Avon vaccination clinics are held twice a year via a partnership between Coastal Humane Society and the Roanoke Island Animal Clinic. Everyone is encouraged to attend to keep their indoor and outdoor pets safe and fully vaccinated.
