Beach Food Pantry is heading to Buxton on Thursday, March 28
The Beach Food Pantry will be at the Fessenden Center Annex in Buxton on Thursday, March 28, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
The non-profit organization will be bringing along fresh produce and other staples that will be available for all Dare County residents and folks who work in the county – no identification is required.
This is the second time in 2024 that the Beach Food Pantry has headed to Hatteras Island, and a similar event and produce giveaway was held in January.
“We like to have these Hatteras Island [events] in the winter months, because we know it’s a time when local residents may be struggling,” said Annelise Wilcox of the Fessenden Center, Parks & Rec. Department, in an earlier interview. “And we’re happy when we have a lot of people come.”
The Fessenden Center Annex is located at 47013 Buxton Back Rd., (across from the Orange Blossom and in front of the recycle center). For more information on the Beach Food Pantry, click here.
