Ocracoke Island ferry operations temporarily suspended due to weather conditions
UPDATE: All three Ocracoke Island ferry routes have resumed normal operations as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Hatteras-Ocracoke, Ocracoke-Swan Quarter, and Ocracoke-Cedar Island ferry operations have been suspended as of Tuesday morning, January 7, due to windy weather conditions, per an update from the North Carolina Ferry System.
Ferry service for all three routes will resume once weather conditions improve.
To get notified of ferry delays or cancellations, sign up for text and email alerts via the N.C. Ferry System’s FINS system: www.ncdot.gov/fins. Users will get notified of any schedule changes directly from the terminal and can unsubscribe at any time.
