The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) recently made a $500 donation to Chicamacomico Banks Fire & Water Rescue, and a $500 donation to the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association.

“The Civic Center is the site for our Annual Meeting on Memorial Day Weekend each year, and often used for our quarterly Board meetings,” stated the NCBBA. “It also is a great place for youth recreation with a skateboard park, basketball court, and a family playground area.
“The Chicamacomico Fire Dept. is a 100% volunteer department that operates out of two locations, one in Rodanthe and Salvo. The water rescue team covers the villages of Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo as well as Pea Island, and the [National Seashore] beaches south of Salvo.”
The NCBBA is a non-profit organization established in 1964 which is dedicated to the preservation of, and vehicular access to, the natural beach resources of the Outer Banks through conservation, a code of ethics for beach behavior, and by supporting local, state, federal officials, and other organizations dedicated to these same goals.
The NCBBA also regularly donates and contributes to organizations that serve the Hatteras Island community.
